CIES has been conducting media surveys in the north of Spain since 1984.
This Multimedia Audience assessment investigates cross-media information and entertainment consumption behaviour, including originally only usage of Press, Radio & Television and in more recent years the Internet generally. From now in 2017, the digital press ie usage of all online newspapers is added.
The questionnaire covers press, radio and television consumption behaviour as well as socio-economic, cultural, linguistic and consumption variables.
At six monthly intervals the survey is fielded, findings edited and a resume of the basic findings is distributed to customers, who then have access to the data base in order to obtain a more in-depth analysis. The annual sample of 8,600 interviews ensures a high rate of representation.
